Good news. Series four of Peaky Blinders starts location shooting today, Monday (March 20th). The scripts are written and the destinies of the characters are set for this next part of the tale.
I would say expect the unexpected but also, get ready for the family to return to its roots. We also have some extremely exciting additions to the cast. This time, the Shelby’s face their most formidable enemy yet.
On the Garrison Tailors front, life is frantically busy, which is great. Our clothing is hitting the spot, finding buyers around the world as well as in this country. We are selling more and more month by month and exceeding all of our own expectations by a long way. We can only assume the same is the case for our customers; despatch are as busy as Shelby bookmakers on race day but we’re pleased to say the same isn’t true for our returns department which reflects fantastic customer satisfaction with the clothes we sell and produce here in Britain.
Those of you who have bought already, will have noticed the genuine quality of the luxury menswear we are making. Our commitment to genuine British made clothing will not falter, no matter how busy we get. ‘Every stitch stitched in Britain’ is our abiding code.
So if you are ordering a suit, you really will receive the best of the best. If you like something a little more unique, we’re working with our artisan tailors to provide a bespoke service where the wool we’ll use to make your suit will still be on the sheep. Garrison Tailors really will offer a historical approach to high quality, British tailoring in the future. Our suits will last a life time and so they are worth the investment.
Alternatively, if you’re looking for a gift but aren’t 100% sure on which tweed or silk accessory would suit, give a Garrison Tailors gift voucher, then the person you’re giving to can make their own choices and control the process.
More and more people are ordering Garrison Tailors suits for weddings and other special events. An extremely (extremely) expensive restaurant in Mayfair (which I can’t name) is now dressing all of its waiters in Peaky clothing. The hats, of course, are now everywhere. And here’s a tale…
Last week I was in Cannes to announce the launch of a new film and television studio in Birmingham. The organizers of the Midland pavilion asked for some Garrison Tailors caps to give to delegates, and of course we obliged. La Croisette was soon filled with men and women in Peaky Blinders hats. Word reached the Manchester pavilion and I bumped into Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs who are both huge Peaky fans. They tell me it is the boxset of choice for lots of Premier League footballers (and high profile managers).
So the buzz around the Peaky Blinders continues to grow and Garrison Tailors is growing too.
Our plan to is to put our suits into selected retail outlets before autumn. We are also working on a scheme to accredit certain tailors across the country to service our order system. If you want a Garrison Tailors suit, you visit the tailor in your town who has our accreditation, and the tailor will measure you professionally. The tailor will then provide our makers with the measurements and we will make the suit and deliver it to your door.
It’s a new kind of clothes shopping that supports independent clothes makers rather than high street chains. We will keep you posted on how the system is progressing.
For the next few months, Tommy, Arthur, Polly and the boys will be fighting for their lives in locations across the country. Meanwhile, buy your Garrison Tailors clothing early, before the rush that will come when the Peaky Blinders return to your screens.
